Greeting the Holy Kaaba
After the tawaf prayer and Zamzam, you are now heading towards Safa Hill. You will begin sa'i here.
When you reach Safa, turn towards the Holy Kaaba and greet it by saying “Bismillahi Allahu Akbar.” Then recite verse 158 of Surah al-Baqarah.
Do not rush this transition. Move calmly through the crowd, remain mindful of your worship and prepare for the next step: making your intention.
- Dua
- Transliteration
Innas-Safa wal-Marwata min sha'a'irillah. Fa man hajjal-bayta awi'tamara fa la junaha 'alayhi an yattawwafa bihima. Wa man tatawwa'a khayran fa innallaha shakirun 'alim.
- Meaning
Indeed, Safa and Marwah are among Allah’s signs (the signs of His religion). Therefore, whoever visits the Kaaba with the intention of Hajj and Umrah and also performs tawaf of Safa and Marwah commits no sin in doing so. And if anyone does a good deed from the heart, Allah surely knows it and rewards it.
